our mission:
our mission:
We as philosophers and scholars alike do vehemently commit to all of the following: discussing philosophical issues in an open and friendly environment, bringing undergraduates and graduates together and explore different ideas, promoting the liberal education of a community of fellow philosophers in an academic setting, and encouraging a healthy and constructive dialectic in order to solve complex philosophical issues by attaining the highest and purest Truth.

All meetings will be held on Wednesdays from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in Public Affairs 2292! General Meetings will consist of facilitated discussions relevant to a given quarterly theme. For this quarter, the theme is Ethics and thus, all general meeting discussion topics, as well as guest speaker presentations this quarter will be related to this general theme.
Guest speakers consist of any UCLA graduate or undergraduate students who is willing to lead a discussion about a topic of personal interest to them and one that is relevant to our general theme. Guest speakers are scheduled on a role-in basis and lead discussions absolutely free of charge.
When no guest speakers are presenting, a discussion is lead by one of the club officers. Topics which are not selected by guest speakers are selected by the club activities coordinatorBe sure and join us on Wednesdays for a healthy and constructive dialectic!
Attention all scholars, Intellectuals and philosophers...the Philosophy Club is back in full swing!
